Juan Manuel Espinosa. The Iron Lady is the second Work of the Inquisition set. On this occasion we can see how an executioner torments a witch in the famous torture device. The real danger of the Iron Maiden, were the sharp irons hidden inside her. Those sharp and rusty nails were arranged in such a way that they pierced various parts of the body –arms, legs, eyes, penis– as soon as the double door was closed, but without affecting the vital organs, which horribly prolonged the martyrdom.
