Cardiac Abyss series are a direct homage to two legends. Malevich & Rothko. In an attempt to illuminate the void and colour the darkest abyss in our heart and make it a happy place. The series started in 2015 in an attempt to elevate from my own personal abyss. The first Cardiac Abyss artwork was in monochrome. It was part of the published digital material of the catalogue for the artist collective EMPIRE II IN Venice for the Biennale 2015. Curated by Vanya Balogh and published by Bath University Press. The colour versions came after this in 2019-2020 as part of my quest for happiness.
