The Yellow King is a painting based on an inner picture which was arising before my inner eye when I focused on crime related book cover art. I listened to a radiostation on the interent and there was a yello king mentioned. I was wondering who that is and the following night I had that image popping saying ‘amazing‘. I checked it on the internet and really existed: The King in Yellow is a book of short stories by the American writer Robert W. Chambers, first published by F. Tennyson Neely in 1895. It was painted with inks on water color paper.I often take photographs or scan them in to secure them. The physical original in this case was ruined and I worked on the digital file.
