Edward Hopley The first time I got to see the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights in Iceland remains one of the most memorable experiences of my life. This 2022 work aims to recreate that feeling and the notion of our place in the universe. The now famous wreck of a US Airforce DC3 eroded by the harsh elements of its location and in a state of constant decay will eventually find itself reincorporated into the landscape in which it sits and serves as a metaphor for our own existence on this planet.
