AIscendences - Resizing reality dialogues and interactions between Art and generative Artificial Intelligence Art and nature are intimately connected in this project, which offers a reparative, poetic, and confident perspective on a world in flux. Our compositions explore the link between the real and the imaginary, between tools and machines, and between human and generative creativity. This duo project’s originality lies in the collaboration and cross-experiences that shape the direction of our respective research, stemming from our perspectives as artists. They question meaning, illusion, and reality to open creative fields, discover the plastic possibilities of materials, provoke discussions, and create new associations. The guiding thread evokes change and nature’s adaptability through the elements, referencing alchemy and its ability to give rise to new forms. The climate crisis, monumentality, relational utopia, and the environment are themes that hover over the giant installation generated by AI. In our works, composed of salt sculptures or blown glass, they resemble geological remains or precious stones. The original craftsmanship of the artist is paramount but is open and enriched by the infinite possibilities of generative creation, like ephemeral jewels transforming into magical mountains. Lived or fairy-tale landscapes testify to the evolution of art and the openness to mastering AI tools to generate new content. An open reflection on art, craftsmanship, and heritage in connection with technical or technological skills are fundamental questions raised by the conception of the work we propose. Thematic description of the work: Imagined from a simple geometric shape, the object gives reason to the concept of a house and suggests an architectural module with pure lines. The creative device emphasises the square format, a metamorphosis of the salt cube embodied by other oversized cubes that resemble frosted blocks of natural ice. The work is perceptible in the reading of a narrative of assemblages, seen from various angles where the image has stopped, a pink landscape devoid of vegetation and life is the setting, somewhere where human beings seem to have been excluded. The image is of colossal proportions, featuring blocks from an unreal urbanity where the idea of a dwelling or square igloo is captured against the desert backdrop of the salty coastline. This piece evokes the slide of human beings into a future where their own trajectory, their home and the framework of massive cities referring to an architectural feat has become an icy block, built in a hostile nature and always precariously balanced.
