Wow! How time has flown in the last 6 months; it is silly season in only a couple weeks even though it feels like it started already!
Perhaps we should give you our latest news first
BRIGHT SIDE OF NFT
Yes, the cryptocurrency market is looking grim but on the bright side the NFT volumes are growing every day and by all accounts, the scams are now being brought into the open and the serious art players are paying attention. Museums, major traditional collectors, and financial institutions appear to be more discretely active. We are seeing Swiss private banks like Julius Baer joining in with digital entities like Sygnum and art experts like Artemundi tokenising works by Picasso. This is all good news. The technology is here to stay and now that the dust is settling, the business can begin
First things, we need you to select our top ten NFTs for the annual WISe.ART NFT Awards ceremony in Davos on January 18th
The artists who joined us in 2022 with the most popular works, the most significant impact or the most followers will be rewarded with special features next year, with some extra coverage on the Nasdaq Tower in Time Square New York. Please click on the next to your top ten favourite pieces before year end to support your beloved artists.
ART WEEK MIAMI What a relief to find sun and warmth in the middle of the Swiss Winter. ArtBasel is as always the heart of the action, but was it this year? The NFT and digital industries were extremely active and busy in Downtown Miami, in Wynwood and the Design District. Could it be that Miami Beach is losing momentum? WISe.ART joined the Miami NFT Summit, the largest event of the year and also met with NEAR in a very trendy event with great speakers, partners and goodies.
BLACK DOVE also displayed new NFTs on monumental screens while Rudolf Budja launched his new pad on 18th Street in South Beach. WISe.ART secured itself one or more venues for next year.
We met YouNs, a French artist who will undoubtedly become the next NFT artist to look out for. We hope he will join our platform soon and we will let you know. Remember to follow us on social media if you want to know more.
R e-Luxury opens in Geneva. It is the first fair for pre-owned or pre-loved assets. WISe.ART was there and rekindled with several brands. The major sponsor being EBAY, who knows what could happen next? The WHO will join WISe.ART in Davos to communicate globally on how art is the best therapy towards physical and mental recovery. The drop of an NFT collection will engrave this concept onto the blockchain for future medical advancements
WISE.ART selects the International Red Cross for further fund raising with the sale of NFTs. A special limited edition by Pedro Sandoval will support the Antonio Banderas Foundation and a new drop launched for the Gala Concert with Grygory Socolov on Human Rights Day, December 10th at the United Nations HQ in Geneva will benefit ONUART for the construction of new schools in Africa
PARIS+ ARTBASEL DOMINATES
THE PARIS ART SCENE
Tezos attracts more people to their stand and continues to distribute free NFTs on FxHash. WISe.ART is there and meets JeanJérôme, a celebrated urban artist first seen in Switzerland at the Ride the Wall Board Culture event in 2015 who immediately joined the WISe.ART community and onboarded his Chinese Horoscope series already. Another major steal is Paul Steinitz, photographer of the darker side of society, the nightlife in major cities. A special series of top models in the Parisian outskirts would be theme for his first NFTs. WISe.ART meets Chimera a Swiss based AI counterpart to generate art and language. Plans are to develop the relationship. In the meantime, our very own Sixtine is selected to be trained as a woman in the AI sector to eventually become a coach for men in the industry to develop ethical and inclusive AI treaties.
The Basel Art Centre and Art&Jewels of the World will join up with WISe.ART to organise ArtMallorca Fair in November 2023 with a strong digital and physical exhibition, a conference cycle themed on the Metaverse, AI, and digital assets, the blockchain and cyber security.
