Physicist and a jack of all trades with a competitive mind, I am always keen to understand the world around me. I'm especially interested in sound and image. Video reporting contains the two elements which fascinate me. I've always enjoyed photography since I was a teenager. It led me to becoming the official photographer for the gymnasium in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland where I grew up. One of the photos taken during a game with my fellow students was selected for a collective public exhibition in my home town in 1969. When I'm reporting, the images impose themselves on me. When I do academic photography, I like to create the images myself. In 1978, an art gallery near Solothurn invited me to take part in a group exhibition. Following my great success, the same gallery offered me a solo exhibition in 1980. Four years later, a gallery in Bern made me the same offer. Then, in 1987, the Tenne Gallery near Zurich offered me its three floors to exhibit 69 of my posters. In 1992, I founded an acoustic engineering company. In 2001, my work was rewarded with an international distinction by UNESCO in Paris. Unfortunately, this research didn't leave me much free time for artistic creation. In 2005, I donated three photographs for a charity exhibition which sold immediately. The gallery owner then invited me to have another solo show in 2006. This encouraged me to develop my lighting techniques. More than a quarter of the photos found buyers. From 2006 to the present day, I have continued to create without exhibiting. I am told I strip women to dress them in light. In 2025, modernity caught up with me when WISe.ART invited me to present my work online. I look forward to this new adventure in WEB3.
